Recipe for Spaghetti with Cream, with which I won over my family

Step-by-Step Recipe – Spaghetti in a Delicious Sauce (Cream, Garlic, and Cheese) – Save and try the recipe, you will love it!


  • 500g spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 200g heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 200g grated cheese
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Fresh parsley

Preparation Method:

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil the spaghetti in a large pot of lightly salted water. Cook them al dente according to the instructions on the package. Once done, drain the water, reserving one cup of the pasta water. Do not rinse the pasta, just keep it warm.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • Sauté the minced garlic in a pan with heated oil for about 1 minute.
    • Add the thyme, nutmeg, cream, chicken broth, and half of the reserved pasta water. Mix well.

    Note: Instead of chicken broth, you can use a cup of milk with a dissolved chicken bouillon cube.

  3. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
    • Stirring continuously, bring the sauce to a simmer, then add the spaghetti and mix well.
    • Once the pasta is fully coated with the sauce, remove the pan from the heat.
    • Add the grated cheese, salt, and pepper, and stir. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit more of the reserved pasta water.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve the spaghetti with fresh parsley sprinkled on top.
